We’ll honor the sabbath via worship services, visits to local historic sites, personal study time and evening devotional addresses.
highlights
We’ll have the opportunity to attend Sacrament Meeting and Sunday School at the Fayette Ward, about 10 minutes from camp. Those interested will be able to tour local historic sites in the afternoon. Later in the evening, we’ll have a fireside featuring special guest speakers!
Sunday, September 6th
9:00 am: Grab and go breakfast (it’s Fast Sunday, but food will be available)
10:00 am: Church at the Fayette Ward
12:00 - 1:00 pm: Picnic lunch at the Fayette / Whitmer Farm visitors center & announcements
1:00 - 5:30 pm: Free time for personal study and touring the church sites. The sites include: the Whitmer Farm, the Smith Farm, the Grandin Building, the Visitors Center, the Hill Cumorah, & the Sacred Grove.
6:00 - 6:45 pm: Dinner
7:00 pm: Devotional with President Scott Hale
7:30 - 7:50 pm: Sunset watch
8 pm: Evening Fireside with Brother Patrick Carpenter & finished image of Christ (amphitheater)
9 pm: Ice cream social and s’mores by the lake
